About:
Elsadig Mohamed Ahmed grew up and is based in Omdurman, Sudan. He studied Multimedia from 2005 to 2008. After his graduation he participated in film making and photography workshops in Khartoum and other cities on the continent,which raised his awareness about these media. Elsadig uses photography, film making and mixed media as tools to tell stories, research and develop further understandings of the media used, express his own imagination and open a door that could create dialogues with other people’s imaginations.
Photography series: Lab of Creation was exhibited In two group exhibitions: River Tales and Next to Here locally, regionally and internationally, 2013 to 2015. Becoming Mahmoud was exhibited in Group exhibition Me and you and everyone we do not know, PriccaPractice, Netherlands 2015. Visions and Dreams was exhibited at at 32° East | Ugandan Arts Trust During my residency July-August 2015. Part of this series was presented as part of Kampala Photo Market 2015. He was invited to be part of collaborative publication and exhibition, City Remixing, with HIP Uganda, Ebifananyi 5. Walking Between Houses collaborative project was part of Mugran Foto Encounter, Sudan 2015.
