All submissions must be unpublished. Please send a query outlining your idea or the first paragraph of your proposed piece. Submissions should be a minimum of 1200 and a maximum of 3000 words in length, preferably in English, but articles in Dutch are considered too. All accompanying images must be royalty free.

The dissemination of the articles and promotion of the site itself is a collaborative effort between Africanah.org and its contributing authors, with a common goal of building a large readership. Articles remain on the website indefinitely and copyright remains with the authors.
Authors get a modest fee for their submitted text.
